Rates & Fees

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Our service is free

Loan Plans Online never charges you to submit a loan request. We are not a lender. The lender you connect with sets every rate, fee and repayment term and must show them to you before you accept a loan.

Annual Percentage Rate (APR)

APR is the yearly cost of a loan, including interest and certain fees, shown as a percentage. Representative APRs from lenders in our network range up to 35.99%, with repayment terms from 61 days to 72 months. Your actual APR depends on the lender, your state of residence, your credit profile and other factors. Some short-term loan products can carry higher APRs than average.

Representative examples

The examples below show how APR, term and fees affect the cost of a loan. Payments are calculated on the loan amount at the APR shown with equal monthly payments. Your offer will differ.

Fees you may see

  • Origination fee: a one-time fee some lenders charge to process the loan, often deducted from the amount you receive.
  • Late payment fee: charged by some lenders when a payment is late, as allowed by state law.
  • Returned payment (NSF) fee: charged by some lenders when a payment fails because of insufficient funds. Your bank may also charge a fee.

Late payment, non-payment and renewals

Each lender has its own policies. Late or missed payments may lead to additional fees, collection activity and negative reports to credit bureaus, which can lower your credit score. Some lenders allow loans to be renewed or extended, which usually adds more fees and interest; state law may limit or prohibit renewals. Read your loan agreement carefully and contact the lender directly with questions about these policies.

Tribal lenders

Some lenders in our network may be owned by Native American tribes. Tribal lenders may be subject to tribal and federal law rather than the laws of your state, which can affect rates, fees and your remedies. Review the lender's terms before accepting an offer.
